Breaking News. This is to confirm that the WTO General Council in its meeting this morning of 18th February, 2025 approved the appointment of Ambassador (Dr) Adamu Mohammed Abdulhamid of Nigeria as the Chairperson of the Committee of Trade in Services Special Session with effect from February 2025. Congratulations to Nigeria. Prior to this appointment, he held various positions in the WTO such as the Chairpersons of Trade Facilitation Committee(TFC), Council for Trade in Goods( CTG), Trade Policy Review Body (TPRB) addition to his key National Position as the Ambassador of Nigeria to the WTO. This is commendable to the present administration of Nigeria in General and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and investment under the Honorable Minister Dr. Jumoke Oduwole and the Permanent Secretary, Amb. Nura Abba Rimi.
The President of 9th mile Chamber, 9CCIMA,and some Council members paid Courtesy call on Executive Chairman of Enugu State Internal Revenue services. The visit is informed by the planned sensitization workshop by both organizations on the new Tax reforms embarked by the State.
