Hon. Uche Ugwu, has described the establishment of 9<sup>th<\/sup> Mile Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (9CCIMA) as a healthy development.<\/p>\n<p>Uche stated this when the President of 9CCIMA, Surveyor (Ozo) Ugwu LCK fnis, led members of his Executive on a courtesy call to his office on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The Speaker noted, \u201cThe coming of 9<sup>th<\/sup> Mile Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (9CCIMA) at this time Enugu State Government is doing much in that zone, more-so the Federal Government is bringing alot of goodies through the Senator representing Enugu-West Senatorial Zone, Rt. Hon. Osita Ngwu, is a good omen for our people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He promised to partner with the Chamber on areas that would develop the Zone and Enugu State in general, stressing that 9<sup>th<\/sup> Mile Corner is strategic for socio-economic development.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the President of 9CCIMA, Ozo LCK Ugwu told the Speaker that they were in his office to intimate him on the activities of the Chamber, pointing out that the body has been in existence for sometime now.<\/p>\n<p>Surveyor Ugwu said that the vision of 9CCIMA is to make 9<sup>th<\/sup> Mile Free Trade Zone, an economic catalyst for Southeast geo-political zone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaking 9<sup>th<\/sup> Mile area an economic hub for Southeast geo-political zone will facilitate the harnessing of the benefits of 9<sup>th<\/sup> Mile Free Trade Zone for economic emancipation of the East, Ugwu added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the things we pleaded to all of them is urbanisation of 9<sup>th<\/sup> Mile within 10km radius. This to our mind will help in speedy infrastructural development.<\/p>\n<p>The 9CCIMA boss also explained the need to engage our unemployed youths in workshops, seminars and other entrepreneurial programmes. This, we hope will reduce crime and other anti-social vices.<\/p>\n<p>He reiterated, \u201c9<sup>th<\/sup> Mile is an emerging economic free trade zone in the southeast of Nigeria in the contemporary era. Facilitation of workshop programmes on concerting rapid transformation of 9<sup>th<\/sup> Mile is an excellent index towards an economic free trade zone in Southeast of Nigeria.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>President of 9CCIMA and his team had earlier paid courtesy call on the Ezeagu House Member, Hon Chima Obieze, Chairman, Committee on Enugu Capital Territory.<\/p>\n<p>The leadership of the Chamber also visited the Enugu House Member representing Enugu North constituency who is also the Majority Leader of the state assembly, Hon.
